Summary:
This position is responsible for coordinating the flow of financial information between the patient, practitioner, and insurance company to ensure timely receipt of payment for services.
Essential Job Duties:
Must have reliable High Speed Internet This is a remote work from home full-time position in Kentucky or Indiana.
Verify patient's insurance participation and identify any policy exclusions of orthotics & prosthetics Obtain Documentation for Medical Necessity Communicate effectively with all Kenney Orthopedic offices and staff Pre-certification / pre-authorizations and filing appeals on denied pre-certification / pre-authorizations Billing insurance claims within timely filing limits Promptly verify receipt of any submitted claims or appeals Communicate effectively with all payers to receive payment Utilize all available payer websites to track the progress of claims submitted Follow up with claim denials within timely filing limits File appeals, redeterminations & reconsiderations within timely filing limits Other duties as assigned Skills/Qualifications/Work Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent 5 year medical billing experience required Highly customer focused Organized, detail oriented, hard working & self motivated with effective time management skills Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to learn other computer programs easily Excellent communication skills Must be able to actively engage within the team and be a team player Working Conditions:
Work is generally performed within an office environment with standard office equipment.
Regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
Regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust.
