Senior Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

Job Title:
Software Development Engineer in TestLocation:
This is a hybrid work model.
Responsibilities:
Work as part of an agile development team delivering high-quality software incrementally.
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts, tools, and frameworks to validate functional and non-functional requirements, emphasizing testability.
Identify, analyze, and report software defects, bottlenecks, and bugs, collaborating with developers to devise solutions and ensure timely issue resolution.
Participate in code reviews focusing on testability and maintainability.
Integrate user-facing elements developed by front-end developers using server-side logic.
Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios within each sprint.
Participate in manual testing activities as needed to support sprint objectives.
Implement and maintain continuous integration and delivery pipelines in collaboration with the DevOps team.
Monitor and analyze test results, providing timely feedback on software quality and aligning with sprint goals and release timelines.
Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to define and refine testing strategies and approaches within the agile framework.
Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in software testing to improve testing processes.
Skills and
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience, or graduation from a full stack boot camp.
1-3 years of experience in programming languages such as JavaScript and Ruby.
1-3 years of hands-on experience and proficiency in writing scripts with automation testing frameworks such as TestCafe, Selenium, Appium, webdriver.
io, RSpec/Capybara, or TestNG.
Experience with RESTful API Testing tools such as Postman, JMeter, SOAP UI.
Proficiency with modern web application development technologies including Ruby on Rails, React, Angular, and Node.

Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases, preferably experience with Postgres.
Proficiency with cloud platforms, preferably Amazon Web Services.
Experience with version control systems, build tools (Git), and CI/CD tools (CircleCI, Jenkins).
Working knowledge of XML and JSON for content/data feeds and REST for consuming API.
Knowledge of LINUX and macOS operating systems, storage environments, file systems, and networks.
Familiarity with macOS and LINUX shell scripting.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
